On September 7, 2011, I had the rare privilege to travel with Dr David Oyedepo, the Chancellor of Covenant University and the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, to Landmark University. On that trip, he said “One of the reasons I have no regret in my life is that I live a life of contribution”. Those words became emblazoned on my mind, and they became my driving force. During the Executive Advance of Covenant University in August 2015, Dr. Oyedepo told the Faculty and Staff that we had unlimited capacity for contribution and impact. He told us of his books online and how they were accessed by multitudes across the globe. At that moment, I was inspired to launch a website that would focus on self-leadership, capacity building and effective communication.

Lanre Amodu is the Director, African Leadership Development Centre (ALDC), Covenant University, where he oversees the creation and administration of in-person and online courses designed for personal, institutional and organisational leadership development. The courses, which are in high demand, have served participants from over 50 countries across the world including Nigeria, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Saudi Arabia, Germany, Japan, South Africa, China, and many others.
With over 15 years of corporate training and consulting, he specializes in personal growth and self-leadership, aimed at organisational excellence. He has recorded great success in helping organisations to achieve their strategic goals through leadership coaching and personnel productivity training. As Keynote Speaker, he brings unique perspectives on board, usually resulting in a paradigm shift. He is a great passion to bring out the best in people.
In addition to his role at the ALDC, Lanre Amodu is a Professor of Public Relations in the Department of Mass Communication at Covenant University, bringing over 20 years of academic and professional experience. Throughout his career, he has held various leadership positions, including Director of Media and Corporate Affairs, Head of the Department of Mass Communication, Director of the Vice-Chancellor’s Office, and Acting Registrar at Covenant University.
