On September 7, 2011, I had the rare privilege to travel with Dr David Oyedepo, the Chancellor of Covenant University and the Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide with the record breaking 50,000-seat auditorium, to Landmark University. On that trip, he said “One of the reasons I have no regret in my life is that I live a life of contribution”. Those words became emblazoned on my mind and they became my driving force. During the Executive Advance of Covenant University in August 2015, Dr. Oyedepo told the Faculty and Staff of the University that we had unlimited capacity for contribution and impact. He told us of his books online and how they were accessed by multitudes across the globe. Immediately, I was inspired to launch a website that would encourage people to become better and achieve their goals. Thus, this website was birthed.

Lanre Olaolu Amodu is a public speaker with great passion to bring out the best in people. If there is something he enjoys more than speaking, it is teaching people to overcome their fear of public speaking and to express their ideas confidently. Lanre has dedicated several years to developing ways to simplify the art of speaking. His speaking philosophy is, “Everyone is a public speaker, since everyone must face an audience at one time or the other”. Hence, everyone ought to learn how to communicate effectively.
Lanre is a celebrated newspaper columnist of about five years. His first column was in the National Pilot Newspaper and he wrote on how to speak effectively from 2011 to 2012. In 2012, he migrated to a national platform by starting the column Communicate Your Ideas in The Nation Newspaper, and he still writes till date. The column has attracted commendations from readers across the nation because of its practical and down-to-earth approach. In 2014, he published his book titled, The Power of Influence: How to Grab and Sustain Attention through Effective Speaking, and the book is in high demand.
He has made several presentations at workshops and international gatherings. He has also served as the lead paper presenter at conferences. Lanre has consulted for corporate organizations and has also served as a facilitator at more than eighteen corporate training on Business Report Writing and Attention Grabbing Presentation Skills.
Lanre Amodu’s compelling speaking style was influenced by his first degree in Performing Arts at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State. He obtained his M.Sc and Ph.D degrees in Public Relations in Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, where he also learnt leadership and entrepreneurial skills. He served as the Director, Media and Corporate Affairs of Covenant University between 2014 and 2015. Lanre Olaolu Amodu also served as the Head of Department, Department of Mass Communication (2016-2018) and the Manager of Hebron 95.9 FM, Covenant University (2015-Date). He is a past Registrar of Covenant University, and is currently the Director, African Leadership Developing Centre.
